The next-generation electric power system, known as Smart Grid, is expected to help solve the problem of energy shortage. The Smart Grid communication network, with its diverse structure, is a crucial component of the new power system. Incab InControl cables are optimized for use in substations using today’s Smart Grid technology control systems.

Currently Incab America offers the following design:

InControl Distribution TB DJ is a distribution tight-buffered design with double jacket. It is highly versatile and can be used both indoors and outdoors. It is very good for direct-buried installation in substations.

Typical features of InControl Distribution TB DJ:

  • UV-resistant
  • All-dielectric
  • Flame-retardant
  • Has moderate rodent resistant

This cable consists of a bundle of tight-buffered fibers. Fiberglass yarns are laid over the bundle of fibers. Outer jacket is made of halogen-free material. Fiberglass yarns are laid over an inner jacket. Outer jacket is orange. Anti-rodent “Masterbatch” is added to the cable jacket to repel rodents.
